Lavjigs offers a well tied cod fly/teaser in blue, purple, pink, yellow. complete with a roscoe barrel swivel, 5/0 mustad stainless hooks. These cod flies are $2.95 each and can be shipped with jig orders.
It's common to use 50-100 lb monofilament leader for a jig/teaser rig. Attach the teaser using a dropper loop about 18 inches above a jig. When fished properly, the teaser represents a small fish or shrimp being chased by an injured herring.
